"The game tells the story of post-apocalyptic America, which - like the whole world, however - was actually destroyed after the cataclysm, called Death's Exit. The United States as such ceased to exist, only the United Cities of America remained, between which few courageous people who tried to save the world travel - couriers. Players are assigned the role of one of these couriers, whose name is Sam Bridges. Sam needs to go from the East coast of North America to the West, restoring a special chiral network along the way to unite all the settlements. The final destination is the Regional Node where the future president of the UCA is located. This path is not easy - except for the looters who hunt in the wastelands of America, there are so-called ""ashore"" - monstrous creatures that can only be saved with the help of special equipment.
