Death at the Dentist

Overview

Cleaning up messes is her job--solving murders is just a bonus. But this time, the dirt runs deadly deep! Meet Sonja Hovland, entrepreneur of the Dirty Business Housecleaning Services. In addition to her cleaning skills, Sonja often makes inquiries for her clients of a personal nature. As Sonja often says, ""There's nothing wrong with killing two birds with one stone, is there?"" But when Sonja goes to clean a swanky new office in downtown La Crosse, she finds a dentist dead in his chair. Things heat up fast, and Sonja finds herself in the throes of a full-blown murder investigation. Join Sonja, her husband, Trygve, and La Crosse Police Chief Tanya Pedretti, as they pit their investigative skills against a murderer who is determined to rid society of the evils of capitalism. A rousing new series sure to capture the reader's attention! From the author of the award-winning Driftless Mystery Series comes a sharp new sleuth with a mop in one hand and a murder case in the other. Meet Sonja Hovland, the no-nonsense owner of Dirty Business Housecleaning Services--a woman who's just as good at digging up secrets as she is at scrubbing them away. When a routine cleaning job at a chic downtown La Crosse office turns deadly, Sonja finds herself staring down more than just dust bunnies--a local dentist is dead, and the crime scene's spotless. With help from her loyal husband Trygve, tough-as-nails Police Chief Tanya Pedretti, and a ragtag crew of working-class allies, Sonja scrubs away the surface to uncover a killer with a twisted anti-capitalist agenda. Smart, sassy, and packed with heart, this blue-collar mystery series brings small-town grit, big-time stakes, and plenty of surprises.
