Author Information

Flamingo Books is an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, a division of Penguin Random House. Natalie Lundeen grew up in Southern California and spent some time in beautiful Oregon before moving to Florida, where she currently lives with her daughter and the occasional alligator. She loves combining the textures of mixed media with digital techniques to create illustrations with fun personalities, inspired by her love of color, nature, and humor. When not working, Natalie finds new inspiration while bird watching at the beach or sketching at the local aquarium and at the never-ending parade of kids' birthday parties. Natalie has illustrated multiple children's picture books and licensed artwork for clients such as Design House Greetings, the Boston Children's Hospital, Trader Joe's, RecycleSmart, and Urban Play Interiors. Her work has also been featured in national magazines such as HGTV Magazine, Southwest Art, and Entertain & Celebrate.
