OverviewIn 2008, Peter Eastgate became the youngest World Series of Poker Main Event champion in history. It was only his tenth live tournament ever. He had paid full entry into the event, a prudent decision. Peter was just 22 years, 10 months, and 28 days old at the time of his victory. (The previous record had been held by Phil Hellmuth, Jr., who was 24 years, 10 months, and 5 days old at the time of his victory in 1989.) Eastgate was born in Denmark and is a Danish citizen, but now lives in London. He is yet another young gun, an internet prodigy who later made a successful crossover into live tournaments. Although he specializes in short-handed no-limit Hold'em games and high- stakes heads-up cash games online, Peter has a few live tournament cashes to his credit as well. He finished ninth in the 3,300-euro no-limit Hold'em event at the Irish Open in 2007, and took 32nd at the European Poker Tour Scandinavian Open's 47,750-kroner Full Product DetailsAuthor: Stephen John , Marvin KarlinsPublisher: Phil's House Publishing, Inc.
