Deadly Portfolio: A Killing in Hedge Funds

Overview

Who knew investing in your financial future could be deadly? Heron Lake Township is an idyllic, upscale lakeside community-until it isn't. Morrie Clay, a financial advisor with a spotless record, harbors a damaging secret that could ruin his career and his life. Then at the annual Fourth of July party hosted by Morrie's business partner, Frederick Wirth, one of the partygoers ends up dead. Local authorities are quick to deem it an accident and anxious to close the case to avoid publicity, but Detective James Raker suspects foul play. A couple days later, the body of college drop-out, Jamie Sherman, is found in his fishing boat. As Raker races to prevent a third death, friendships are tested, marriages are strained, and lives are tragically altered by ambition and deceit, proving money isn't everything. Written in the howcatchem style of Columbo and Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder, Deadly Portfolio is full of unexpected twists with themes of trust, betrayal, and moral dilemmas.
