Caudill holds a Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Texas at Dallas and holds an appointment as professor of criminal justice in the College of Public Service at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. His research explores the intersection of offenders and formal social control. He has published 40 peer-reviewed articles and a book (University of Texas Press). Dr. Caudill currently serves as the interim-dean for the College of Public Service. Dr. Chad R. Trulson holds a Ph.D. from Sam Houston State University and is a professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas. He is the author of 4 books, including First Available Cell: Desegregation of the Texas Prison System (University of Texas Press, 2009) and Lost Causes: Blended Sentencing, Second Chances, and the Texas Youth Commission (University of Texas Press, 2016). He has published more than 50 articles on topics focused on institutional violence, and recidivism of serious and violent offenders. Dr. James Marquart holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Texas A&M University. He currently teaches classes in the Criminal Justice Department at Texas Christian University. He graduated with a BA in Law Enforcement from Western Illinois University, an MA in Sociology from Kansas State University, and Ph.D. in Sociology from Texas A&M University, while working as a prison guard. He has served in such positions as Program Chair, Dean, and Provost. He was President of The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, 2010, and has published many papers on numerous topics, authored eight books: three with the University of Texas Press and one with Oxford University Press. Dr. Matt DeLisi is Distinguished Professor and Coordinator of Criminal Justice at Iowa State University. He is the author of more than 500 publications in the social, behavioral, and forensic sciences. Dr. DeLisi also has authored 35 books with a variety of publishers including Cambridge University Press, Palgrave Macmillan, SAGE, McGraw-Hill, Jones & Bartlett, and John Wiley & Sons.
