During the four-plus years that Robin Yocum was the police reporter for the Columbus Dispatch, he covered over 1,000 deaths. Some were flukes; some were deserved. Robin Yocum joined the Columbus Dispatch as a reporter in 1980. He worked at the paper for eleven years, spending four years on the police beat, followed by a post as senior reporter on the investigative desk. Yocum has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University.
