Reviews

Time and again, the forms of these figures echo shapes and colors in the natural world around them, underscoring their delight in the coming of spring. Created in surprisingly subdued colors, this picture book offers a fine, resonant representation of the song's words and warmth. -Booklist Diaz's joyful pictures bring the words to life. Rendered in acrylic, colored pencil, and pencil, the vibrant, fanciful artwork features flying and floating people as well as giant-sized roosters, chickens, and birds. The stylized humans, with various skin tones and multicolored eyes, show unity and love through linking arms and large colorful hearts that adorn their clothing...[A] visual delight that's sure to be frequently requested. -School Library Journal
