Overview

Alqama Shibli is a well-known poet from Kolkata. He has experimented in genres like Ghazal, Nazm and Rubai and has also published several collections of poems written under the category of children's literature. He was blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj in 1997 and at the insistence of friends and relatives, he wrote a travelogue of Hajj which was published serially in the daily newspaper ""Azad Hind"" (Kolkata). This is the same travelogue of Alqama Shibli in paperback format. / علقمہ شبلی کولکاتا کے کہنہ مشق معروف شاعر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے غزل، نظم اور رباعی جیسی اصناف میں طبع آزمائی کی ونیز ادبِ اطفال کے تحت لکھی گئی نظموں کے کئی مجموعے شائع کیے۔ انہیں 1997 میں حج بیت اللہ کی سعادت نصیب ہوئی تھی اور دوست و اقارب کے اصرار پر حج کا سفرنامہ تحریر کیا جو روزنامہ ""آزاد ہند"" (کولکاتا) میں قسطوار شائع ہوا۔ کتابی شکل میں علقمہ شبلی کا یہ وہی سفرنامہ ہے۔
