Author Information

Madison Reynolds is a mother, biologist, former backpacking guide, and wilderness wanderer. After graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she began photographing and recording her hikes throughout Southeast Alaska while conducting ecological research and volunteering for local search and rescue operations. Reynolds' previous publications include research articles in scientific journals. She has lived in Ketchikan, Juneau, and other communities throughout Alaska.
