Mary writes fiction for children and adults. Dax and Dash Discover New Tricks is the thirdbook in the Tropical Tales bilingual picture book series, featuring jungle andocean animals. Her award-winning historical fiction novels for adults include In This Land of Plenty and Unfamiliar Territory, which follow a fictional family through California history. She divides her time between California and Costa Rica where she is at work on a third novel in the family saga and the next Tropical Tales children's book. Claudia is a freelance illustrator with an extensive portfolio in all aspects of children'sbook publishing. She was born in Trento, Italy, and has loved books since she was a child.She always wanted to be an artist. Claudia has also lived inLondon and now resides in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and their two dogs.
