There is a long history of misinformation, stereotyping, misbeliefs and myths about people with diverse disabilities within mainstream society. It is often passed down from one generation to the next and becomes ingrained within society, It is important to begin to correct this misinformation and begin a better conversation and it should start early in the classroom in Early Childhood Education with both students and educators.
