Jochen Sander is both curator and deputy director of the Städel Museum and, since 2008, holder of the Städel Cooperative Professorship for Visual Arts in Germany and the Netherlands between the Late Gothic and Baroque periods at the Institute of Art History at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main Berit Wagner has been a research associate at the Institute of Art History at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main since 2008; she conducts research on a range of topics including the early modern art trade, art collecting, and various aspects of painting and art theory Almut Pollmer-Schmidt is curator at the Landesmuseum Württemberg, Stuttgart. She worked for many years in the Old Masters Department of the Städel Museum and most recently, she was responsible for its catalogue of German Paintings 1550-1725 Heidrun Lange-Krach has been a research associate at the Städel Cooperative Professorship since 2022. Her research focus is on Southern German art around 1500 and digital scholarly communication. Previously, she was curator at the Maximilianmuseum Augsburg
