Inhaltlich beruhrt sich V. 20 mit der Forderung Hiobs nach Bekanntgabe seiner Sunden in 10, 2 f., 13, 20-25. Das gilt auch von V. 21 ab: und Warum verzeihst du meine (angeb liche) Schuld nicht, vergibst nicht meine Dagegen klafft zwischen 21 b und c d eine Lucke. 21 cd, denn dan n (am: 3) ruhte ich im Staube, du suchtest mich und ich ware nicht da, seht einen Bedingungssat; voraus, worin von der Moglichkeit die Rede war, dass Hiob tot ware. V. 21cd ist darum wohl etwa hinter einem Gedanken wie 10, 18 - 19 am Plane, wo der Fall besprochen wird, dass Hiob als Totgeburt sein Leben vorzeitig beendet hatte.
