In 1962, James D Watson PhD was the joint recipient (with Francis Crick) of the Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medicine in recognition of their discovery of the DNA molecule. In 1968 Watson published his account of the discovery, The Double Helix, and the book became an international best-seller.
