Overview

Set in the jungles of Laos and North Vietnam during the very early days of the Vietnam War, when the CIA had free reign to run clandestine (and dubiously legal) missions into the north, a Marine Force Recon team is secretly tasked with killing Ho Chi Minh. Author Information

John Schalestock is a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era. A thirty year veteran of the US Merchant Marine, he sailed all the oceans of the world, from the Arctic to Antarctica, as a Radio Electronics Officer aboard freighters, tankers, and container ships. He has sent an SOS from a burning ship, experienced storms at sea, and survived pirate attacks. He is a graduate of The American University in Washington DC where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and an Associate Degree in Electronics from the Technology Institute of Maritime Electronics. He and his wife Anne have been married for thirty-three years and live in Warrenton, Virginia. They have two daughters, Jeanne-Marie and Shannon, and three triplet granddaughters, Caroline, Camden, and Charlotte. John is currently working on another novel based on his sea-going adventures.
