She is an active instrumental clinician and adjudicator, and lectures regularly on music teaching, motivation, and performance. Hendricks serves as President of the American String Teachers Association, has won several teaching awards, and served on editorial committees for the Journal of Research in Music and Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education.
