Overview

This book is the first authentic English translation from the original text of Dao De Jing (Tao Te Jing) by a native Chinese scholar and classical Chinese specialist. Wenliang Tao has, for the first time, decoded verses that confused even Daoism scholars in China in an effort to reveal the truth of this world masterpiece. With its publication, the perception of Daoism (Taoism) and Eastern culture to Westerners will be correctly guided and greatly reshaped. Due to translators' limited knowledge of Chinese, previous translations are often mistranslated, misunderstood, and misinterpreted. Written 2500 years ago by the Daoism founder Lao Zi, Dao De Jing is fundamental to Daoism. This is a must read for those who want to fully understand China and will give Western readers new insight into Chinese culture.
