Overview

The book of Daniel contains some of the most memorable adventures in the Old Testament, including an escape from a fiery furnace, survival in a den of lions, and more. In addition to political intrigue and miraculous exploits, Daniel is filled with strange dreams, apocalyptic visions, and crucial messages for God's people. As you embark upon this study, you will see how Daniel weaves together beloved stories and startling images to form an extraordinary tapestry that shows a portrait of the God who shepherds God's people through persecution, suffering, and exile into the victorious future God has promised. A faithful reading of God's Word leads to a faithful response from God's people. The Shaped by Scripture series teaches a simple, engaging method of studying the Bible that will lead to honest interpretation and a changed relationship with God.
