OverviewDo you need to freshen up your chess openings? Stun your opponents with new and exciting ideas! Dangerous Weapons is a series of opening books which supply the reader with an abundance of hard-hitting ideas to revitalize his or her opening repertoire. In this book, three opening experts team up and take a contemporary look at the Ruy Lopez, one of the most popular chess openings. Instead of analysing the well-trodden main lines they concentrate on fresh or little-explored variations, selecting a wealth of 'dangerous' options for both colours. Whether playing White or Black, a study of this book will leave you confident and fully-armed, and your opponents running for cover! *A modern study of the Ruy Lopez *Packed with original ideas and analysis *Ideal weapons to shock your opponents Full Product DetailsAuthor: John Emms , Tony Kosten , John CoxPublisher: Everyman Chess Imprint: Everyman Chess Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 1.80cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.028kg ISBN: 9781857446913ISBN 10: 1857446917 Pages: 304 Publication Date: 31 July 2012 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Out of stock ![]() The supplier is temporarily out of stock of this item. Table of ContentsReviewsI've read various Dangerous weapons books by Everyman Chess and I'm happy to see that the quality and development of this series has not faded! I'll recommend this book for players playing with both, black and white, who are looking for a tricky line! Especially the verbal explanations are valuable for players ranged 1300-1900 ELO! But the biggest potential in my opinion lies in Blitz and Rapid tournaments, where some tricky, well analyzed lines can win you some time on the clock and thus yield you a decisive advantage! - dailychess.org I feel that these books are the most refreshing of recent opening products, and wonderful for anyone wishing to get off of the main theoretical paths John Watson, The Week in Chess (TWIC) Author InformationGrandmasters John Emms and Tony Kosten, and International Master John Cox are highly respected authors who are renowned for their creative opening ideas and expertise.
