Author Information

J. R. Poulter once worked in a circus. This definitely qualifies her to write for children! She has regular pets, like cats, possums, geckos and frilled lizards. Her grandmother had a pet Tarantula! J.R. has been published in Australia, UK and USA, having 20+ books with mainstream publishers, including major award winner, Mending Lucille and 11 digital books. She has a 6 book series published for education, Poetry Action for Classroom and Stage. More print books are due for release in 2014 and another for 2015. J.R. loves teaching children the fun to be had with words, whether in poetry or prose, and doing dramatized book readings. She also writes novels [including YA], literary poetry, novellas and short stories under J. R. McRae.
