Overview

The second book of a five book series. The Patterson Family Dancers add another couple. During auditions, a homeless girl applies and is select as the girl dancer. Conflict arises when the boy winner's mother doesn't want him to associate with homeless children. The group changes their name. They voted and chose the name of Desamparados, after the area of Alajuela where they live. Harry hires a professional choreographer. They continue their karate training and Reina make a CD. The singers become very popular in the music industry. Desamparados travel to Panama City to appear again on the Jago Delarosa Show. Harry takes Reina and the children to a mountain restort for holiday. The last night Reina drops a surprise request on Harry that will affect their future.
