Dance With Me, Franny Nice Shirt

Overview

Fresh-minted college graduate Franny Chase subsists as a sales clerk in a la-di-da West LA bed/bath boutique. She dreams of becoming a professional writer. So when she lands a position as live-in assistant to the engagingly eccentric Dorothy Gaines, who charges her with the task of ghostwriting her memoir, Franny feels like she's finally on her way. But life in the grand Gaines house may not be the smooth road to success Franny hopes for, marked as it is with uneasy new friendships, impetuous trysts, precarious alliances, and secrets. Each complication reveals her self-doubts, desires, and ultimately, her strengths. Dance With Me, Franny Nice Shirt is a turbulent love story, a slightly sideways spiritual journey, and an introspective excursion told with Elizabeth Kelly Stephenson's signature humor and grace.
