Daft Definitions Volume 1 is a comical dictionary. The book is full of bizarre and amusing definitions for everyday words, obscure words, place names and some words that have been made up. Here are a few examples to whet your appetite: Attitude - dog ruined my trilby Nomad - sane Onomatopoeia - urinating on the bathroom mat Paradox - GPs arriving by parachute Vainglorious - enormous varicose veins This is the seventeenth book published via the flash fiction writing challenges, run on Chris Fielden's website. The definitions were submitted in response to the monthly challenges run in the Authors of the Flash Fiction Writing Challenges (AotFFWC) group. The challenge was created to have fun with words, provide encouragement for authors and support charitable causes. Profits generated by sales of this book are donated to Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care (SCCCC), a UK-based charity established in 1966 that is passionate about helping older people.
