Józef Jarosz ist Germanist und Skandinavist. Er ist Universitätsprofessor am Institut für Germanistik (Universität Wroclaw) und dort ebenso Leiter der Forschungsstelle für Skandinavistik. Seine Forschungsbereiche umfassen Übersetzungstheorie, Text- und Medienlinguistik sowie Phraseologie und Onomastik.
