Author Information

The author David A. Franks was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1963. He was 4 years old. Since then he has traveled the world, flown over lava a spewing Hawaiian volcano, parachuted from a plane, worked in movies and theater, been a teacher little league coach, politician, bouncer, entrepreneur, award winning sculptor, painter, author, writing instructor and most recently designed and built the straw bale house he, his wife and three dogs live in.
