Panayiotis Panayides completed his PhD at Durham University in 2016 and from 2018 to 2021 held a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Oxford. His research interests focus on the archaeology and material culture of the Mediterranean in Roman and Byzantine times, the display of ancient sculpture, and the reception and fate of classical architecture and decoration. Ine Jacobs is the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Associate Professor of Byzantine Archaeology and Visual Culture at the University of Oxford.
