Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJules Selmes has been passionate about cycling ever since he got his first bike, a MK1 Raleigh Chopper in 1971. Over the following years he has owned many bikes including BMX, road and mountain bikes. When his family immigrated to South Africa in 1972, he progressed to a Peugeot road bike which survived many day trips across the savannah and even the odd homemade ramp. He returned to the UK in 1979, but did not start riding again until 1984 while studying in Oxford. On moving to London in 1990, he joined the Thames Tradesman Cycling Racing Club where he raced in national mountain bike series and trained on the streets of London. While living in various parts of London he went everywhere on his bike and supported the LCC by supplying professional photography free of charge.
