Harris Breslow is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, where he is also a principal investigator with the Emirates Internet Project. He writes on issues of digital media and their relationship to language, subjectivity, political economy, the structure of polities and the formation of cultural communities. He also writes on urban and architectonic space and their relationship to political economy, movement and mobility, subjectivity, communities and cultures. Aris Mousoutzanis is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Media and Cultural Studies at Kingston University, UK. He has researched and published on areas such as new media and online communities, globalistion and the postcolonial, critical and cultural theory (especially psychoanlysis and trauma theory), and popular culture, science fiction, and the Gothic. He has contributed in edited collections on Television and Temporality, New Media and the Politics of Online Communities, and Gothic Science Fiction, amongst others, whereas his monograph on Apocalypse, Technoscience, and Empire in Popular Fictions of the Nineties is due for publication in 2013.
