Overview

Eighteen, it's a dangerous age, when you have to cut your way into life. Mirrors, a piano. Erotic reflections, practice, ritual. Not an ordinary career, ballet, more a magnificent obsession. And for Elaine, possessed by ambition, sees everything she craves in the exquisite Beverley Soames - success and more... Watching, imitating, borrowing. To stalk in pursuit of an image. There's no threat in that, is there?
