Overview

Shawn Crowley is on his way home after defeating the vampire who killed his family. On his way home he stops in a small town to rest his horse. But he notices the townsfolk are busy scorching the surrounding area. They are also rubbing tar on every post and house around. Thinking nothing of it he rents a room at the hotel. But his sleep is interrupted by the sound of cicadas. This is nothing new for early summer. But mixed in with the sound is the sound of people dying. He hurries outside to find millions of cicadas swarming the town.They aren't just buzzing around lanterns or singing in the trees. They are killing people. But by dawn they're gone. But he knows the following night they'll return. Can Shawn find the reason behind the rage of these docile insects? Or will he be their next victim.
