Cuando era chica, Melina Furman se preguntaba cómo funciona la mente humana. A esa pregunta le siguieron muchas más, sobre el cerebro, pero también sobre la naturaleza y todo lo que la rodeaba. Esta curiosidad se volvió extrema cuando se convirtió en mamá Ian y Galo trajeron más preguntas superdivertidas. Estudió Biología en la Universidad de Buenos Aires y se doctoró en Educación en la Universidad de Columbia. Es investigadora del Conicet y profesora de la Escuela de Educación de la Universidad de San Andrés. Participó en proyectos de divulgación científica e innovación educativa en el nivel nacional e internacional. Fundó la asociación Expedición Ciencia, que acerca la ciencia a los chicos, y condujo el programa infantil La casa de la ciencia en Pakapaka. En esta editorial publicó Enseñar distinto. Guía para criar hijos curiosos y La ciencia en el aula. Además, dirige la colección Educación que aprende. As a child, Melina Furman wondered how the human mind works. That question was followed by many more--about the brain, but also about nature and everything around her. This curiosity became extreme when she became a mother: Ian and Galo brought even more super-fun questions. She studied Biology at the University of Buenos Aires and earned her Ph.D. in Education from Columbia University. She is a researcher at CONICET and a professor at the School of Education at the University of San Andrés. She has participated in national and international projects on science communication and educational innovation. She founded the association Expedición Ciencia, which brings science closer to children, and hosted the children's program La casa de la ciencia on Pakapaka. With this publisher, she has published Enseñar distinto, Guía para criar hijos curiosos, and La ciencia en el aula. She also directs the collection Educación que aprende.
