"The author was born in San Antonio, Texas and lives in Texas with her husband and three dogs. ""Cupcakery: Exploring Confections"" is a cupcake recipe book based on Sharon's previous ""Cupcake"" business coupled with her experience as a Cake Designer and Instructor. She is sharing her experience and recipes to help you get started in your own ""cupcake"" business. Sharon has always loved baking, she learned to bake at a very early age. She also realized many important life events unfold in the kitchen around the family table. She learned her culinary skills from her grandmother and father who were successful restaurant owners. Her love of writing began early in life, she began honing her writing skills while a student and then later honed her writing while employed at Express News newspaper in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon aspired to be a writer and author and has coupled her love of baking with writing. Her first cookbook entitled ""Exploring Mexican Cuisine: Abuelita's Kitchen"" was translated to English from Spanish recipes handed down to her by her grandmother and published in 2009, based on 100 year old Mexican family recipes. Sharon's second book is ""Exploring Mexican Cuisine: Abuelita's Cocina"" which includes more of her grandmother's recipes. ""Cupcakery"" is her third Cookbook better known as ""Exploring Confections: Cupcakery,"" a recipe book of sumptuous cupcakes, icings, frosting's and basic information on how to start your own ""Cupcakery."" She currently enjoys ""taking time to enjoy semi-retired life with her husband and dogs"" in Texas and travels from time to time. She also enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and continues to write cookbooks and publish short local articles."
