Author Information

Rebecca Janowitz has worked in politics and community affairs in Hyde Park for more than twenty years. A lawyer by trade, she has applied her skills with Arne Duncan at the Chicago Public Schools, in the Fourth Ward office of Alderman Toni Preckwinkle, on the board of the South East Chicago Commission, and most recently at the Cook County Jail. She is the daughter of the late distinguished University of Chicago sociologist Morris Janowitz, and lives in Hyde Park.
