He authored many publications on cultural property protection and received several awards for his book Heritage under Siege. Marc Balcells, MA, is a senior researcher at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Fulbright scholar. He holds degrees in Law, Criminology and Human Sciences, and masters both in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.
