Overview

Cuba is a place that gives the impression of an island tantalisingly out of reach. After the revolution, the Russians moved in and Cuba closed its doors on the world. Nowadays the Russians have gone and the reality of daily life remains much the same as it has since 1959. It is a country that has had to endure many hardships but it has retained its dignity despite its difficulties. A country famous for its Havana cigars and American classic cars, Donald Nausbaum has produced a unique insight through the lens of his camera into this historic and beautiful part of the Caribbean - a place that is gradually opening its doors once more to visitors from all over the world.

Donald Nausbaum is an inveterate traveller, having photographed in more than 60 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. His photographs have appeared in a variety of newspapers, magazines, airline in-flight magazines and travel guides. Currently represented by Getty Images and Pictor International Photo Agencies, Donald also has his own photo agency, Caribphoto (www.caribphoto.com) which specializes in images of the Caribbean.
