Overview

""Willis masterfully weaves wit, warmth and magic into a queer romance perfect for fantasy readers. A truly magical read, I simply couldn't put it down."" --Robyn Green, author of The Dramatic Life of Jonah Penrose A meet-cute across worlds! Draven Montrose's world, Galdorsfarne, is like a soggy firework: so much potential, so little sparkle. Magic is running out, and so are his dating options. Whilst he should be grateful for a cruelty-free world, he's never known anything else. His (entirely realistic and modest) goals for the year are to solve the magical energy crisis . . . and get a proper boyfriend. Niall Silverstein lives in Northern England, wishing fantasy stories were real and he had the guts to talk to cute boys. He isn't out to his parents, he's never kissed anyone, and he's convinced he'll die alone in a corner of the library, a spotty and unloved nerd. A magical portal between worlds and a chance meeting might be all that's needed to fix both their broken worlds. But does Draven's world contain enough magic to keep their meetings going? Find out in Crying Out for Magic, by P. S. C. Willis!

Author Information

P. S. C. Willis (they/them) is a queer British writer, and graduate of both Newcastle University and Reading University. They currently live in Shanghai, where they have quit any number of hobbies (ukulele, rollerskating, drag) but stuck fairly well to writing. Their work spans everything from flash fiction to novel length, mostly in sci-fi and fantasy. Community is a huge part of their writing process, and they run a local workshop and writing meet ups, as well as connecting with fellow writers in many online spaces. P likes to create stories that allow others to believe in good people, in magic, or both. Their work can be found in DreamForge and various anthologies. George Reid is an actor and voice-over artist from the UK. Having worked in the industry for over a decade, George has voiced video game characters for Game of Thrones and has worked with Spotify and Ocado, among other brands. He works from his professional, broadcast quality home studio in the UK with some of the industry's highest quality equipment to ensure each audiobook sounds as polished and immersive as possible. As an audiobook narrator, George's voice has been described as like receiving a lovely Northern hug! He was born and bred in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, but adapts his tone accordingly to the book's requirement. He can use a deeper, authoritative tone for more serious books or softer, upbeat tones for softer narrative books. As a professional audiobook narrator, several titles that George has narrated are currently available on Audible.
