CY Hughley is an amazing writer that is taking the world by storm with his latest book Cry No More . CY was raised in the mean streets of Southside Jamaica Queens. He was raised by his mom and grandparents that instilled to him the importance of reading. CY first discovered his talent of writing at the age of 5. At this time he wrote his first short story in school about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His love for writing remained a big part of his life. As a teenager, he began to stray away from writing and he allowed the streets to dictate what he should do. This led to several run ins with the law. While serving time in prison, CY went back to his one true love, writing. This is what let him to write his first book titled Bad Ass Bitches (B.A.B.) followed by a childrens' book The Fuzzys and now Cry No More . He is hoping that his life will serve as a living example to the youth and that they will truly strive to be all that they can be.
