OverviewAnn surprises her sons, Brett and Blake, by proposing that they go on a weekend cruise. This is a first for her boys. They are eager to spend quality time with their mom and enjoy the many activities on the ship. Once onboard, they head to the outdoor swimming area, where they make friends with Harry, Stella, and Mira, who each have a physical handicap but also possess special skills. Later, the youngsters meet on the top deck for some fun when they encounter Kalico Kidd, a funny pelican who thinks he is a pirate, as he lands on the railings of the ship. He entertains the kids with his corny jokes. The next day, the kids and Kalico all go on an excursion and have a great time together. But once back onboard, they hear passengers complaining that some of their belongings are missing from their cabins. Stella, who has exceptional hearing, overhears some thieves talking about the items they stole. The kids and the animated bird, with the large throat pouch, formulate a plan to use their special skills to capture the robbers.
