Lottie Baker got the yips. After landing a coveted spot playing guitar for a popular indie-rock act, a sudden inability to play even the simplest melodies (along with a hefty dose of recklessness and a bad attitude) got her booted from the tour. Hoping to lick her wounds in peace, Lottie delays going home, taking a detour to a coastal resort. Instead of spending her time wallowing in her latest failure, she meets Cam-a shy, handsome guest, there for his ex's wedding. Under an unspoken assumption that they'll never cross paths again, they lean on each other as distractions during their equally weird weekends. But back home in Nashville, Lottie's pity party is cut short by the discovery that Cam just so happens to live in the same city. As their connection grows, so do Lottie's doubts about her chaotic way of life. Before long, she finds herself agreeing to things she never thought possible-like turning down a good-paying studio gig to teach music to middle schoolers. Between the regular reality checks from misfit tweens and Cam's steady friendship, her tough exterior finally starts to crack.
