Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRalph Nils Olander was born in 1950 in the borough of Queens, New York, and attended public school and Community Methodist Church there until his family moved to the exurbs of southern Connecticut in 1964. After four years of high school there, he attended Ohio Wesleyan University and earned his bachelor's Degree in Humanities in 1972. He retired in 2010 from a 31-year career in the Federal Government, during which his job relocated from Washington, DC, to Parkersburg, West Virginia. His family found a home in Marietta, Ohio, where he resides today with his wife, Maureen. They raised two children, Karin and Eric. Mr. Olander has held many leadership positions in the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta which they joined upon their move to Marietta, and has created and maintained their website since 1995.
