Issue 75 There are fewer simpler ways to bring a splash of colour to a plain room than a vibrant crocheted rug, and this collection of 40 varied designs is sure to have the perfect project for your home. Patterns include popcorn texture, fun cross-stitched tapestries, colourful Tunisian crochet and some particularly eye-catching shaped rugs, such as a tropical pineapple and adorable terrier. Our favourite is the oh so clever sheep rug, which is sure to draw attention and ideal for all us wooly fans of the craft. * Inside Crochet * I cannot begin to think how much work has gone into this book. If you love to crochet and you want to make a rug then you really have to purchase this book. I really can't believe the variety of designs. The projects are split into sections; Tantalizing Texture, Rugs That Tell a Story, Crazy for Colour, Tunisian Crochet, Shaped Rugs and Alternative Materials. The patterns are all in written format and are easy to follow. There isn't any indication of what level of crocheter you need to be but most of them seem quite simple and easy to make. My favorite has to be the Proud Pines Sampler . It's based on a cross stitch sampler and I love how it looks. The designs are so varied and I am sure you will find you a rug you will want to make. I can't wait to cover my house with beautiful rugs. There really is something for every household.
