Author Information

Theresa Brown lives and works in the Pittsburgh area. She received her BSN from the University of Pittsburgh and, during what she calls her past life, a PhD in English from the University of Chicago. Theresa is a regular contributor to the New York Times blog Well. Her essay Perhaps Death Is Proud; More Reason to Savor Life was included in The Best American Science Writing 2009 and The Best American Medical Writing 2009. Critical Care is her first book. She lives with her husband, Arthur Kosowsky, their three children, and their dog. Coleen Marlo is an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has been nominated for an Audie Award twice, winning in 2011. She has been awarded three Listen-Up Awards from Publishers Weekly, an AudioFile Audiobook of the Year Award in 2011, and was named Audiobook Narrator of the Year for 2010 by Publishers Weekly. She is a member of the prestigious Actors Studio and taught acting for ten years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Marlo is a proud founding member of Deyan Institute of Voice Artistry and Technology.
