CRINKLES NEW YEARS RESOLUTION picks up where the Christmas chaos ended. Driven by guilt over the fallen tree, Crinkle, the little grey cat with a massive mischievous streak, decides to adopt her own New Year's Resolution: to be calm and tidy. This is made impossibly difficult when Daisy, determined to declutter, removes all of Crinkle's beloved toys (ribbons, boxes, etc.) and replaces them with a boring, expensive, and perfectly sturdy Cat Tower-a monument to stillness. Crinkle's internal resolution fails hilariously as she can't resist chasing the smallest temptations. The conflict escalates when her neighbour, Bracken, resolves to teach Crinkle to be brave and explore the cold, noisy world outside. Crinkle is overwhelmed by the Forbidden Zone and retreats in a panic. In her rush to reach safety, she uses the sensible Cat Tower as a springboard, causing its dramatic, silent destruction. Daisy shows acceptance, teaching Crinkle that her true resolution should be to simply be a happy cat, mess and all.
