The Astraeus is a space station the size of a small city, a self-sufficient country isolated from the rest of civilization, and a glimmering oligarchy funded by the Archimedes corporation. Tensions brew underneath its gilded surface as mega corporations, paramilitary agents, young revolutionaries, protesting workers, and underfunded bureaucrats wrestle for the heart and soul of their nation. An artist turned hustler, Danish NATO veteran turned pacifist, college student rebel, former retired detective, and other Astraeuns find themselves ensnared in wannabe gangsters, dangerous cults, murder mysteries, shootouts, and power struggles during the year that will define everything. 2217 isn't the question of ""will things go down aboard the Astraeus?""
