Costs for criminal cases matter. There has never been an entirely satisfactory text. Peter Hurst knows the subject better than anyone and writes with authority and clarity. For thoseseeking costs from central funds or to defend a wasted costs order this book will become an essential point of reference. The legal aid position is still in a state of flux but future editions will hopefully cover the issues, as the book does already the case law around the graduated fee scheme for advocates Anthony Edwards, Senior Partner, T V Edwards LLP.
