I'm a Chartered Accountant, and proud of it. In the past I've worked for a cracking firm of accountants called Hurst who focussed on helping Owner Managed Businesses... ... and for the world's largest firm of accountants PWC who focussed on larger companies, and making money. I've been Finance Director to a number of Owner Managed Businesses, and even ran a couple myself, badly. I've recently finished a stint as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University... where I did research into the 'gaps' between what owner managed businesses need and what their accountants give them... ...and of course I did a lot of research into Credit Ratings...
