The Creation Oratorio Full Score. A complex multilingual intertwining of Afro-Cuban music and traditional choral music, the intermedia oratorio Creation celebrates diversity and the beauty of procreation. A celebration of culture, life, humanity, and the female body, Creation further marks itself as a musical milestone, commissioned specifically for a 60 member woman's chorus and composed by a young female composer of Cuban-Dominican heritage. Premier performance by the Millikin State University Women's Chorale directed by Michael Engelhardt and accompanied by the Millikin University Percussion Ensemble, directed by Brian Justison. Creation won the New Genre Prize for the IAWM Search for New Music in 2011.

Called Wagner 2.0 by music critics, award-winning Cuban American composer Sabrina Pena Young experiments with classical music and new media, creating groundbreaking works like the animated opera Libertaria, the prize-winning Creation Oratorio and the riveting World Order #5. In 2014 Young gave a TED Talk on her opera Libertaria at TEDxBuffalo. Libertaria: The Virtual Opera has been shown worldwide at the the Holland Animation Film Festival, the AnimaCyros Videoteque, 3rd Hildegard Festival, Women and Arts Festival Buffalo, Opera America, and Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Animation and Best Short Feature. Young's works have been at the Beijing Conservatory, NPR's Morning Edition, Art Basil Miami, the NY International Independent Film Festival, Turkey's Cinema for Peace, ICMC, SEAMUS, and throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Americas. Young collaborated with UK composer Lee Scott on his web opera The Village.
