Creation and Counsels of the Faith of Zoroastrianism

Overview

This volume offers two major works of Zoroastrianism, namely Creation: The Greater Iranian Bundahishn and Counsels of the Faith: The Dadestan-i Denig, with an affirmative approach for a general audience and anyone seeking to learn more about the ancient faith of Iran. Prophet Zarathushtra's influence as the founder of the Good Religion is powerfully resonating in this presenting of Zoroastrian wisdom and spirituality. Our first text, Creation, originates from the Ancient Avesta's Damdad Nask. It describes this world as a complex realm of the development of souls amid a cosmic, limited conflict between Good and Evil, Freeing and Constraining, prior to the forthcoming renovation of the universe. It includes many fascinating details of Ahura Mazda's creation, lore, and prophecy. Our second text, Counsels of the Faith, comes from the Zoroastrian High Priest Manuschir, who lived in central Iran during the 800's A.D. Counsels of the Faith provides erudite answers to 92 questions on a variety of subjects relating to the Good Religion, such as philosophy and the keeping of Tarikat, that is, laws of purity and Ashoi to cleanse the windows of the soul to increase one's capacity to know the Kingdom of Heaven. This book standardizes the spelling of important Avestan words and corrects mistakes. The font and formatting is easy to read and helpful. This book has been carefully and lovingly edited by Alan Lewis Silva.
