This book deals with the controversial topic of abortion in an effective manner, bringing up a large number of arguments both for and against it. It is an involving novel with some unexpected plot developments, and I would recommend it as a light yet serious read. --Kate Howe, Launceston Examiner Not a book for those looking for a light-hearted beach read, Crashing Down is instead a very engaging and challenging novel for those looking for a book that will make them think, with a storyline that will linger and continue to raise questions long after the final page is read. --Kids' Book Review Kate McCaffrey has used an engaging story to deal with confronting and serious issues in a very powerful way. McCaffrey has produced a real page-turner with several unexpected twists. --Amber Pegler, the West Australian An engaging, insightful, and realistic read for teenagers and adults alike. This story is fast paced and fun and McCaffrey uses common turns of phrase that are engaging and accessible to today's teenagers. Her writing voice and narrative is strong and genuine and written in an Australian cultural context that we would all understand. --Neridah McMullin, author, Ponkidoodle
